This book cover concept was developed for an Amazon-published fantasy novel written by Gemma Jace. The theme of coming of age is highlighted by the beautifully, but not very practically dressed young lady that appears to be swooning or reacting to perceived danger from above. A frosty atmosphere is achieved through the use of blues and whites. Warm flesh tones contrast against this cool colour palette to help draw attention to the young lady’s warm and possibly naïve disposition. There is a clear contrast drawn between the cold world out there and the positive and energetic assertion of youth.
