The Athletics South Africa corporate identity was developed with the idea of a track in mind. Most of the events held at athletics tournaments have these curved and prominently demarcated areas in which the athletes perform. You can see such a curve “smiling” at the bottom of the logo. The colours of the South African flag were used to underscore the national flavour of the brand.
